Poor Sen. Kennedy, Having to roll over in his grave so soon after his passing as we are shown once again that the rich and powerful special interests are still in firm, almost total control in the halls of “our” Congress.
But we are living through a pivotal point in history, the full effect of which has not yet even begun to be felt. Can you remember any time in history where such a large majority of the American people wanted something such as a public health insurance option so badly but were slapped down so decisively and denied because of the massive corruption in the nation’s capitol, apparently on BOTH ends of Pennsylvania Avenue.
The issue is greatly exacerbated because the villain in this case conducts his business in such a heinous and arrogant way. Their disgustingly immoral behavior is directly responsible for the deaths of 47,000 Americans annually and the bankruptcy of hundreds of thousands more yet so great is their corrupt influence on our political system that nothing can be done to stop them. This latest pathetic attempt at legislation is little more than a joke to these people, a joke that they will simply push aside and go on amassing their huge profits by mercilessly raising premiums and denying coverage to sick and dying people with almost complete impunity.
But anybody that thinks that this is over is sadly mistaken. In fact, this is only the beginning.
